Today, the Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha, now the discussion about this bill is going to be held for 8 hours. After this, there will be voting to pass this bill. The government is also getting a lot of support from its associate parties on this bill. But here, the JDU and TDP of two major NDA party, who were talking about supporting for a long time but were also asking the government to make some amendments. The reason was that if these parties have a good penetration in Muslim voters, then the question becomes that what is the matter, due to which both these parties have come together.
What will JDU do today on Waqf Bill?
There are a total of 12 MPs in the Lok Sabha, JDU is supporting the Waqf bill as the government accepted JDU’s suggestions regarding this bill.
What suggestions did the government accept?
- Stay the jurisdiction of the state government on Waqf land,
- New law should not be implemented from the old date
- Muslim religious places should not be tampered with
- Officers above the collector should be appointed for settlement
What will TDP do on the Waqf Bill today?
TDP has a total of 16 MPs in the Lok Sabha, all are supporting the bills because all TDP suggestions were accepted by the government.
